SHAYE COHN , a multi – instrumentalist, who Is equally at home on the cornet, trombone or piano. Shaye, the daughter of jazz guitarist Joe Cohn, and granddaughter of jazz saxophonist Al Cohn, is originally from Boston MA, but now calls New Orleans home. Since living in NOLA she has been a member of the band Loose Marbles and Tuba Skinny, of which she is co-director. An avid musician, who is always eager to learn more about the classic jazz that she plays, Shaye will be playing her cornet at our 2023 NC Jazz Festival.
