Vermont artist Paul Stone was so pleased with the level of jazz that he heard at the North Carolina Jazz Festival a couple of years ago, that he created an oil painting to be used as a fund raiser for the festival. The painting, entitled “Collaboration….an improvisation on a photograph by the late, great William Claxton”, 1927-2008, one of jazz’s most dedicated photographers, was raffled at this year’s festival and earned over $1,100 for our non-profit organization. This type of visual art benefiting audio art is in itself a wonderful collaboration!
Paul Stone, a visual artist who creates beautiful images in both watercolor and oil, lives in Grafton Vt. And Topsail Island, NC.
