Mangroove Quintet

Many of these musicians rotate in and out of the “Mangroove” collective on a regular basis, keeping the sound and energy fresh.

He moved to Boston and became a pharmacist, but continued to indulge his passion at the New England Conservatory and the Berklee College of Music. Over the 30 years of his music career, Manny has played with the great and the talented, from Maya Angelou to Kurt Elling.

Teddy Burgh (flute & sax) was born in NYC, grew up in North Carolina, and studied music at Hampton University. Burgh is grateful to have shared the stage with such artists as George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Joe Chambers , Kathy Sledge, The Manhattans, Ray Charles. In addition to being an Associate Professor at UNCW, Teddy is an active performer and composer. He is currently performs with the FROG PROJECT, as well as MANGROOVE. www.teddyburgh.com
