Cynthia Sayer

CYNTHIA SAYER, award winning instrumentalist/vocalist/bandleader, is acclaimed by musicians, critics , and fans alike as one of the top 4-string jazz banjoists in the world today, and is an inductee in the Banjo Hall of Fame.

She first rose to prominence as a founding member of Woody Allen’s New Orleans Jazz Band and has played with such legendary jazz artists as Bucky Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Les Paul, Marvin Hamlisch, Wynton Marsalis, as well as leading jazz contemporaries such as Wycliffe Gordon, Anat Cohen, Ken Peplowski, and many others.
Sayer is an avid educator, presenting clinics, workshops, programs, and lecture/demonstrations. She can be heard on distinguished feature film and TV soundtracks, has 9 CDs, and now lives in NYC.
